Cherry wood
It is a light-loving tree, does not tolerate shade and cannot regenerate when the forest has high canopy cover, but regenerates well along newly opened roads or after shifting cultivation. In Vietnam, peach trees are distributed mainly in the northern mountainous provinces such as Lang Son, Son La, Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Quang Ninh… and some other areas of the Central Highlands.
The wood is used to make veneers, peeled boards and household furniture such as wooden doors, tables and chairs, kitchen cabinets, etc. Young leaves and bark can be used to extract essential oils and presently leaves and fruits. It is also used as a raw material for the production of biological pesticides.
Products made from pine wood are popularly sold on the market at the same price as other wood species such as jasmine, po mu, cedarwood, etc.
